The Appliance Wiz Aspiration is one of the two new aspirations that come in the Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack. That’s right, after a long wait, stuff packs are back and they’re arguably better than ever before! This post will take you through everything that you need to know for the appliance wiz aspiration.

The Appliance Wiz aspiration is part of the Food category of aspirations. In-Game Description: “This Sim knows their way around small kitchen appliances!”
Bonus Trait for Food Aspirations
When a sim is first created in CAS or when they age up into a Teen, you get to select their first aspiration. Depending on which category of aspiration you choose for them they will receive a unique bonus trait and will keep it for the rest of their life even if they change aspirations later on to ones in different categories.
For the Food category of aspiration, the bonus trait is called the Essence of Flavor. Sims with this trait will create a higher quality of food and drink. This will increase the chance of positive moodlets after consuming the dishes and the products will sell for more simoleons!
Aspiration Milestones
Milestone 1: Chop Chopper
Collect Prepped Ingredients 5 times while Inspired
A sim can become inspired by taking a thoughtful shower, viewing inspiring decor, purchasing the inspired reward potion, or participating in creative activities such as painting. Once your sim is inspired, select the Stand Mixer appliance and prepare ingredients.
Own 1 Small Kitchen Appliance
This includes the new appliances in the Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle: ChowBella Heart Waffle Maker, ChowBella Portable Pizza Oven and ChowBella Stand Mixer. Note that the stand mixer is required for the first part of this milestone so I recommend starting with this appliance if you are on a budget and can only afford one of the appliances at first. It costs 750 simoleons. This shouldn’t be too expensive for your sims, but if it is you can use money cheats.
Milestone 2: Slicer and Dicer
Experience Sped Up Cooking 5 times
Use prepped ingredients when cooking dishes. The menu will show whether cooking times are sped up or not for each dish that it applies to. Make sure to have any prepped ingredients in your sim’s inventory or in the fridge for the option to appear.
Collect 3 Prepped Ingredients that were made using Fresh Ingredients
The Stand Mixer menu lists the fresh ingredients necessary to make each prepped ingredient. Using fresh ingredients reduces the price of making the prepped ingredients. To complete this milestone task you must have all of the fresh ingredients for each of the 3 prepped ingredients. It will cost 0 simoleons to make each of them this way. I like buying seed packets and then gardening to get some of the fresh ingredients. Otherwise you could purchase the ingredients.
Milestone 3: Flavor Fusionist
Note that for the following tasks you start from scratch (i.e., 0/5) so it doesn’t matter which or how many meals you’ve prepared prior to reaching this milestone.
Collect 1 excellent quality Prepped Ingredient
The likelihood of a prepped ingredient being of excellent quality increases when your sim is inspired, has a higher cooking skill or uses fresh ingredients to create it.
Cook 5 times while listening to music
I recommend placing a speaker in your sim’s kitchen, so that you can easily have them listening to music whilst cooking.
Cook meals using 6 unique Prepped Ingredients
These prepped ingredients don’t have to be made using fresh ingredients. Any prepped ingredients will do. They just need to be 6 unique ones from the menu of 8 possibilities. To unlock all 8 prepped ingredients your sim must reach at least level 4 of the cooking skill. By this point in the aspiration they should have reached that level with the amount of cooking that they’ve needed to do, but if they haven’t then you can use the cooking skill cheat.
Milestone 4: Mixing Maestro
Make Pleasantly-Unpleasant Waffles
These waffles require level 10 of the cooking skill and your sim must own the Waffle Maker appliance. The ingredients required to make these waffles are:
- Batter (prepped ingredient from the stand mixer)
- Trash Fruit (let piles of garbage lie outside on your sim’s lot for a few days and after starting to smell they will turn into a trash plant that will grow trash fruit which your sim can harvest)
- Any Strawberry (this post covers all the different ways to get strawberries in the Sims 4)
Make a Prepped Ingredient using a Stand Mixer with at least one upgrade
Your sim will need the handiness skill in order to upgrade the stand mixer. The possible upgrades are:
- Speedy Mixer (requires handiness level 4)
- Unbreakable (requires handiness level 5)
- Add Self-Cleaning (requires handiness level 7)
They may need to purchase common and/or kitchen upgrade parts to complete any of these upgrades. Use the computer to do so. If your sim doesn’t have high enough handiness skill, then I recommend using the Sims 4 handiness skill cheat!
Cook 2 Pizzas or Waffles at a single Goaled Social Event after reaching Silver
Plan an event in your sim’s calendar (here’s how!) and make sure to plan it as a goaled event. Any event can be used to complete this milestone task. During the event follow the instructions on the top left hand corner of the screen in order to track your sim’s progress. Once the progress bar has moved into the silver zone, then get your sim to cook either waffles or a pizza twice before the event is over. Time can be tight completing this task, so make sure you start working towards silver as soon as the event starts so that your sim has enough time to complete everything.
Reward Trait for Appliance Wiz Aspiration
Yay, now you’ve completed the Appliance Wiz Aspiration! Your sim has earnt the Batch Cook reward trait. When using prepared ingredients to cook any dish, this sim will create double the amount of servings.
Tips to Help You Complete the Appliance Wiz Aspiration
Being inspired is very useful in increasing the quality of food that your sim cooks or prepares and their enjoyment of the cooking process. Become inspired by taking a thoughtful shower, surrounding your sim with inspiring decor, or purchase the Inspired Reward Potion for 200 satisfaction points.
Traits (To Use)
Foodie – Your sim will be happy and have fun when eating good food and uncomfortable when consuming bad food. They can also watch cooking shows for ideas, which increases their cooking skill. Both these effects are useful for this aspiration as your sim will need to cook a lot and produce high quality food (good mood is helpful for this!).
Creative – Your sim will become inspired more easily when cooking or doing other creative activities, which is very helpful for this aspiration. Note that they may become upset if they haven’t been creative for a period of time.
Reward Potions (To Purchase)
The Inspired Reward Potion (200 satisfaction points) is very useful for this aspiration. If you want to change a trait of your sim’s to foodie or creative, then the Re-traiting potion (5,000 satisfaction points) may also be helpful. To purchase that potion you may need to use the satisfaction points cheat as it is very expensive.
Reward Traits (To Purchase)
There are reward traits that will help your sim increase their skills faster. However, the Super Green Thumb reward trait (4,000 satisfaction points) may also be useful for this aspiration. It enables your sim to better grow the necessary ingredients from their home lot instead of needing to buy them. If you have the Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat, then you can also purchase the Stoves and Grills Master (1,500 satisfaction points) to enable your sim to cook impeccable quality dishes!
Lot Traits (To Set)
Chef’s Kitchen, Homey, and Sunny Aspects are all useful lot traits for the appliance wiz aspiration. You can set these traits for your sim’s lot in build mode in the top left hand corner of the screen.
Cheat for the Appliance Wiz Aspiration
If you want to complete the appliance wiz aspiration instantly, then you could cheat your sim’s progress. This is useful if you want your sim to gain the satisfaction points and/or the Batch Cook reward trait. Here are the steps for the Sim 4 Aspiration Cheat:
- Activate cheats in the Sims 4 by pressing down on the keys SHIFT + CTRL + C. Then type in “testingcheats true” and press enter (more detailed instructions on the LTS Cheats Page).
- Type into the bar aspirations.complete_current_milestone
- Press enter and the milestone your Sim is on will instantaneously be completed!
Final Comments
Aspirations can often be seen as walkthroughs of packs, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing! I like how this aspiration got me to use many of the new gameplay features from the Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack. The major gameplay feature that it doesn’t cover is the new food stall, which is a great new money making opportunity (who doesn’t love those!).
