The thanatology skill requires the Sims 4 Life & Death expansion pack and is a minor skill with only five levels. There are many ways to increase your sim’s skill level (all described in the LTS thanatology skill guide), but you might want to cheat to change their level immediately. If so, you’re in the right place!
Step 1 – Enable Cheats
Make the cheat bar appear in the top left hand corner of the screen by pressing:
- CTRL + Shift + C on PC or Mac.
- All four triggers on console (e.g. Xbox or Playstation)
Type in “testingcheats true” and press enter to enable the use of cheats.
Step 2 – Thanatology Skill Cheat
Type stats.set_skill_level minor_thanatology X into the cheat bar and press enter. Replace X with the level of the skill you would like your sim to obtain.
Below I have written out the cheat for each level, so that you can copy and paste the cheat code that you want to use!

Your sim will max the thanatology skill by typing in the cheat code for level 5!
