The Sims 4 introduced a new type of add-on packs in 2021. They are called kits and are smaller than the other three types of packs. Due to their small size they have very specific themes and only include either build or clothing items for your game. I prefer building much more than styling my sims so I was eager to create my personal ranking of all the build kits! I’ve already ranked all of the worlds, game packs and expansion packs (more rankings to come!). I hope you find this post interesting and helpful as well!

21. Desert Luxe Kit
Date released: September 2022
Number of items: 27
My Favourite Item: Decidedly Neutral Short Curtains (150 simoleons)
Items in this kit make for a chic desert patio and suit the Oasis Springs world very well. The curtains were a game changer at the time of release given that they are customisable in width, but these types of curtains are now available in other packs so it isn’t as much of a draw to spend money on this kit.

20. Courtyard Oasis Kit
Date released: May 2021
Number of items: 29
My Favourite Item: Coffee in the Courtyard Table (225 simoleons)
This pack is very cohesive and the wood railing is beautiful! I don’t use this kit very often, but if this is your style of building and design, then it’s really good.

19. Castle Estate Kit
Date released: January 2024
Number of items: 16
My Favourite Item: The Earl’s Door (520 simoleons)
This kit is the most build (rather than buy) heavy kit as it includes exclusively wallpapers, floorings and building decor. There isn’t any furniture, but it is designed perfectly to build old castles!

18. Industrial Loft Kit
Date released: August 2021
Number of items: 26
My Favourite Item: Johnny Zest’s Sweet Revenge Sofa (530 simoleons)
Whilst all kits are small, limiting how all encompassing they can be regarding their theme, I really like being able to build in a very industrial style with this one. The bed is great and the ceiling vents are perfect decor!

17. Riviera Retreat Kit
Date released: May 2024
Number of items: 24
My Favourite Item: Romeo & Juliet Arbor (2,000 simoleons)
The Riviera Retreat kit is currently the only pool focussed build kit. It’s designed for the pool lounging sims who love fancy rock waterfalls, comfy lounge chairs and beautiful tiles all around them!

16. Party Essentials Kit
Date released: April 2024
Number of items: 27
My Favourite Item: “New Faithful” Turntable (710 simoleons)
I love how you can now have an invisible dance floor with this pack! The decor is bright and fun even though a couple of the items don’t have great resolution.

15. Artist Studio Kit
Date released: September 2024
Number of items: 24
My Favourite Item: Accidental Paint Splatters (floor decor) (10 simoleons)
I think this pack adds some much needed design decor for painter sims. We also finally have a new woodworking table other than the base game one, which I really like using!

14. Cozy Kitsch Kit
Date released: November 2024
Number of items: 27
My Favourite Item: Comfy Groove Loveseat (360 simoleons)
This kit has fun colours, a complete living room set and a cute stereo! My least favourite colour is orange, but this kit has drawn me out of my comfort zone and into its cozy world. Unlike the other kits in this list, the Cozy Kitsch kit is a Creator kit highlighting the fabulous designs by myshunosun!

13. Cozy Bistro Kit
Date released: May 2024
Number of items: 27
My Favourite Item: Verandah Window (40 simoleons)
This kit is very aesthetic and perfect for its purpose. We finally got some cute booths in the game! I’m not a fan of the dine out ones, so I was really happy about that.

12. Blooming Rooms Kit
Date released: November 2021
Number of items: 24
My Favourite Item: String-of-Pearls Lamp (85 simoleons)
For plant lovers or players who need to fill up empty space in their home, this kit is full of cute green decor!

11. Country Kitchen Kit
Date released: March 2021
Number of items: 15 (includes many counter shape variants)
My Favourite Item: Pancakes at Dawn Stove (2,720 simoleons)
I could never have enough complete kitchen sets in the Sims 4, so this pack came in very handy. The appliances are different enough to all the others in the game, so that I would recommend this kit to anyone who loves the country cottage aesthetic.

10. Decor to the Max Kit
Date released: March 2022
Number of items: 23
My Favourite Item: The Tiger Stalks Tonight (Wallpaper) (6 simoleons)
Maximalist all the way! I like using several of the items as statement pieces in my builds. They instantly add fun energy to my builds!

9. Greenhouse Haven Kit
Date released: April 2023
Number of items: 27
My Favourite Item: Open Greenview Window (50 simoleons)
The greenhouse haven kit has some good decorative gardening decor, but its best feature by far is its windows, doors and floors. They are realistic and beautiful items that make your greenhouse feel more realistic than ever before!

8. Book Nook Kit
Date released: June 2023
Number of items: 25
My Favourite Item: Snugly Spot Sofa (545 simoleons)
This kit is perfect for decorating home offices or book-lovers’ bedrooms. The couch in this kit might not be the main item, but I love it so much! It looks so cozy that I want one in real life!

7. Pastel Pop Kit
Date released: November 2022
Number of items: 25
My Favourite Item: The Aesthetically Portable Tablet (950 simoleons)
I like using this pack for kids or teenagers bedrooms because all of the items are fun, unique shapes and colours. If you like pastel colours, like me, then you’ll have a blast decorating with this pack!

6. Basement Treasures Kit
Date released: April 2023
Number of items: 26
My Favourite Item: Grandma’s Couch (575 simoleons)
I LOVE this pack! The concept is realistic and perfect for generational family storytelling. I use the items a lot all around my sims’ houses, attics, basements and living rooms!

5. Storybook Nursery Kit
Date released: September 2024
Number of items: 23
My Favourite Item: The Clowntastic Canopy (130 simoleons)
You can decorate your sim’s entire nursery with this kit, which is great. The design can see your sim through the baby, infant, toddler and even child life stages. Why stop living in your storybook nursery when all the items are so beautiful?!

4. Everyday Clutter Kit
Date released: November 2022
Number of items: 30
My Favourite Item: Boom Blocks speaker (140 simoleons)
The Boon Blocks speaker was instantly my new favourite speaker in the game when this kit came out. I continue to use it in almost every one of my builds! I really like using all the boxes for clutter and little touches, like the used mugs, add a lot of realism to my sims’ homes.

3. Bathroom Clutter Kit
Date released: January 2023
Number of items: 31
My Favourite Item: BeanStalk Bathroom Decals (wall decor) (5 simoleons)
We’ve made it to my top 3 build kits!! I love the rug and towel sets in this kit so much! The towels come in both messy and neat swatches which is very realistic. Also, this kit is very good for designing kids bathrooms given the wall decor with animal designs that’s included.

2. Little Campers Kit
Date released: May 2022
Number of items: 25
My Favourite Item: Needs Paint Games Table (150 simoleons)
Absolutely LOVE this kit! The decor is very cute and it’s versatile enough that you can decorate spaces for children or adult sims. The outdoor screen, firepit and games table are my most used items!

1. Modern Luxe Kit
Date released: September 2023
Number of items: 28
My Favourite Item: The ArtFrame TV (3,150 simoleons)
I love the bed and record player in this pack as well as the frame TV! The colour scheme feels fancy and the furniture set is complete so you can fully furniture a bedroom with these items. I love the chic look and think this kit was executed perfectly so it shot right to the top of my list!
